Privacy Policy
Samar is an illustrated Arabic story app for children by Jordan Studio. In short: we collect no personal data, show no ads, and track no one.
What we don't collect
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
- The app does not contact any server of ours. All stories and pictures are bundled and work offline.
- We never sell or share data.
What stays on your device
To work, the app stores on your device: the child's first name or nickname, age, gender and chosen avatar; reading progress, favourites and streaks; and settings, including the parent PIN. This data never reaches us.
- iPhone and iPad: if iCloud is on, this data syncs between your devices through Apple's iCloud, in your own account. We cannot access it.
- Android: Android may back up app data to your Google account, depending on your device settings. We cannot access it.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play. We receive no payment information; the app only learns whether a subscription is active. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings.
Reminders
Bedtime and reading reminders are local notifications scheduled by the device itself. No server is involved. Turn them off in the app or in the device settings.
Children's privacy
The app is made for children and never asks them for personal information. Purchases, settings and any links that leave the app are protected by a PIN chosen by the parent.
Deleting data
Remove a child's profile in Parent Settings. Deleting the app erases its data from the device. To remove the iCloud copy: Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage › Samar.
